I breed Bernese Mountain Dogs because my family and I have an intense passion and love for dogs and especially puppies. Breeding dogs allows us to share our love of dogs with others. I like to keep in contact with all of my puppy owners to see what wonderful dogs they have grown into. We exchange cute stories and photos, and its like we have an extended dog family!!! My 5 children have learned a lot from our experiences and they have a great sense of responsibility and compassion. I do childcare in my home so the pups are exposed to children from the start. We raise each and every puppy with lots of love and attention. With my family there is lots to go around!

I've been a Berner "Mom" for 13 years now, and have had very successful litters. I used to raise and breed Rottweilers, but I find that Berners fit our family so much better. When we have a litter of pups, we socialize them as much as we possibly can. This way they learn to bond with people at an early age. They are taken to the vet for check-ups and all their shots are up to date by the time we start to let them go at 8 weeks. I also microchip each and every puppy to insure their safety throughout life. We will usually begin to let prospective owners visit the puppies at 6 weeks, so we can get a feel for them, making sure our babies are going to warm loving homes.

This also helps the puppy transition a little bit before going to their new home. I always follow up on my puppies to make sure they remain healthy and happy. I always want to be the first option in buying back a puppy that is not "working out" for the owner or for some reason they cannot keep the puppy or dog. I ask that all owners agree to take good care of the puppy through its life and to provide a safe and loving environment with proper socialization and training. I also ask that they maintain diligent contact with me by mail, phone, or email to advise me of the puppies development. I do have a 26 month guarantee for my pups at which time the owner has the opportunity to test them for dysplasia. If at any time, the dog shows signs of any health issues that may arise, the dog may be returned for a refund. I place the majority of my puppies to pet homes with limited registration and I require that they be spayed or neutered by the time they are two. Some exceptions may be made if there is intent to show. I am a Member of "The Heart of Michigan Bernese Mountain Dog Club" and they have lots of information on the breed on their site as well as adobtable puppies and adults in need of good loving homes.
